Wise is not available everywhere. Check both your location and how you plan to fund the payment before paying a MYCNTM invoice. This guide was checked against Wise’s official help pages on 24 October 2026; Wise’s current rules and payment screen take precedence.
Location restrictions and card restrictions are different. A blocked card does not necessarily mean Wise is unavailable throughout its issuing country. Nationality alone is not enough to determine whether a payment can be made.
Countries and regions Wise does not support
Wise says you cannot send or receive money to or from the places listed below. While there, you also cannot log in, register or use a Wise card.
Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Libya, Myanmar, Somalia, South Sudan, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Venezuela.
The listed Ukrainian regions are Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. This is a restriction on those regions, not a listing of all Ukraine.
Cards that cannot fund a Wise transfer
Wise’s separate card-payment rules block cards issued in the 21 countries above, and also Argentina, China, Nigeria, Lebanon and the Palestinian Territory. The Ukrainian region restrictions still apply separately. Check the official card-payment page for the full current list.
These are rules for paying for a Wise transfer by card, not a claim that all Wise services are blocked in every listed card-issuing country. Account type, currency and available funding methods also matter. Business transfers have additional funding requirements; follow Wise’s instructions for your own account.
If Wise is unavailable
Changing an invoice from RUB to USD does not remove country or card restrictions. Use another payment method offered on the order. Ask us to confirm bank-transfer details; your bank and our receiving bank must confirm whether the transfer is supported. If a payment-only link is available, a trusted friend can pay through that flow. If you were already charged, contact support with the receipt before paying again.
